Padel is the world’s fastest growing sport and has seen an explosion in popularity in Europe and Latin America. The United States has seen over 350 new courts built in 2025 doubling the number in the country. One of the main reasons for the speed of its success has been the nature of the game being easy to learn but hard to master.
Being a four-player game it is incredibly social and a true doubles sport where you have to work closely with your partner to ensure victory. The ease at which the game is picked up and the nature of different levels being able to enjoy a match together makes it the ideal sport to try with friends and a reason why for many people who have not been interested in sport have fallen in love with it.
Padel is similar to tennis in that you have to hit the ball over the net, but the added dimension of walls that you can hit off to defend give the game an incredibly high skill ceiling. With so many dimensions there is always something new to learn, new ways to improve and new levels to reach.
