Three rackets charity event recap
On Saturday, October 10th, Three Rackets opened its doors for the very first time to host Rocky Mountain Pikl in support of women’s ovarian and breast cancer research. The event was sold out, and an overwhelming success with $4394.86 raised for the HERA Ovarian Cancer Foundation thanks to the over 120 players that showed up from our community.
The day exceeded what we hoped for. See pictures below!
Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, showed up, donated or picked up a raffle ticket.
Every sport, every level
All day long, the courts were full of players from all three sports: padel, squash and pickleball. Experienced players took the opportunity to try our new courts, and many people were brave enough to pick up a padel or squash racket for the first time.
That was one of our favorite parts. Thanks to our coaching staff, people tried sports they’d never played before. Coach Aaron ran padel intro sessions and Coach Mark ran squash intro sessions through the day. We loved seeing new players get hooked so fast!
Thank you
We want to thank our community for making this event the success it was. You showed up in numbers and you trusted us enough to be the first people through the doors of a facility that isn’t even officially open yet.
Thank you to Rocky Mountain PIKL for partnering with us on the fundraiser, and to every coach, volunteer and team member who made the day run.
What’s next
Our buildout is moving very well and the facility is in great shape following the event. Later this week we should have exciting news for you regarding our opening date!
