Cushionx installation

Why We Chose CushionX for Our Pickleball Courts

After discussing the topic with members of pickleball community as well as our Head Pickleball Coach, Scott Fliegelman, we’ve decide to install CushionX in our pickleball courts.

What CushionX Actually Is

CushionX is a widely used cushioned court surfacing system that helps players feel more comfortable on court. It's the official cushioned surface of the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA), the same surface category the sport's top-ranked professionals compete on.

Unlike a standard hard court coating, which is just paint and sealant applied directly over concrete or asphalt, CushionX adds a genuine 6mm rubber cushioning layer between the court's foundation and the playing surface. That layer makes a difference every time your foot hits the ground.

What It Actually Does for Players

Every step, lunge, and quick direction change on a hard, uncushioned surface sends impact straight up through your feet, ankles, and knees, CushionX's rubber layer absorbs a meaningful portion of that before it ever reaches your joints, meaning less fatigue during long sessions and less soreness the next day. It's also built for real, everyday use, and the kind of high-volume play our courts will see with open play, lessons, leagues, and tournaments.

We want to ensure our community’s feedback is being heard from day one, and this is part of that commitment. We’d like to thank everyone who emailed, spoke to us in person, and let us know the importance of CushionX.
